Archeology of the Sky is a sound art piece demonstrating wood as a climate memory device. By circulating water from the soil to the sky, trees become both a conduit and record of climate information. Therefore, we are constantly sorrounded by climate records in the places we live, work and play. Utilizing principles of dendroclimatology, Macia invites us to listen to atmospheric conditions documented in tree rings. Click the numbers to go to the listening spaces.
Felipe Macia is a Colombian artist and filmacker living and working in Chicago.
